Sony has made it abundantly clear that it no longer places value on porting its first-party PlayStation titles to other consoles. The debate surrounding whether Sony should follow in the footsteps of Xbox and begin porting, at the very least, its older library of exclusives has been ongoing for quite some time. It seemed like the company may have been heading in that direction with the release of Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X/S.

However, according to Sony's 2025 Corporate Report, that is no longer the case. Indeed, the report makes it clear that Sony has moved away from that line of thinking and instead is placing greater value on its first-party releases , hardware, and more. Of course, this begs the question of whether Sony will ever get around to sticking to a multiplatform app
