LOS ANGELES – A 28-year-old man was found fatally shot in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood of South Los Angeles, and police believe the shooting is gang-related.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s 77th Street Division responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at 11:30 p.m. Monday at Figueroa Street and Slauson Avenue, where they found the victim, according to an LAPD spokesman.

The victim was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced dead.

There was no suspect information, police said.
