JASPER, Ind. (WEVV) — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced the advancement of the Mid-States Corridor project, with a public meeting scheduled to discuss the Screening of Alternatives Report.

“The Mid-States Corridor is a vital investment in Indiana’s transportation infrastructure,” said INDOT Commissioner Lyndsay Quist.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 22, at 5:30 p.m. at Jasper Middle School. Attendees will learn about the latest alternatives for the corridor and have the chance to provide feedback.

INDOT began Tier 2 studies in Dubois County in 2024 to refine project design and assess environmental impacts. Construction is expected to begin in 2027 following the completion of these studies.
