Runners are lacing up for the 33nd edition of the Montreal marathon taking place this weekend and whether you’re racing, a spectator, or commuter, here’s what you need to know for getting around the city.
Thousands of participants are expected at the start line for one or more of the Beneva Montreal Marathon races taking over the city once again.
Saturday’s marathon will feature three different races ranging from one kilometre to 10 kilometres. On Sunday, the full and half marathon will start on Île Ste-Hélène and end at Park Maisonneuve.
The shortest — one kilometer — race starts the Botanical Gardens and the other two start on Sherbrooke Street – all ending at Maisonneuve Park.
“This sporting event will result in major changes to traffic and parking,” couronsmtl said on their website
