(NewsNation) — Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro will speak on political violence in America on Tuesday in Pittsburgh, less than a week after the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The speech — a keynote address for the 2025 Eradicate Hate Global Summit — is expected to center on acting with "moral clarity" in an increasingly violent political climate, according to a release from Shapiro's office.

In April, a man attempted to burn down the Democratic governor's home while Shapiro and his family were inside.
