ALMOND, Wis. (WBAY) - The Portage County district attorney says a 6-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert last week wasn’t abducted by a man identified as her uncle. Rather, the child walked away from home on her own to look for him.

D.A. Cass Cousins released new details in the case against Jordan Coyle and the girl’s mother, Chelsie Lehmann.

Coyle is a registered sex offender for a felony sexual offensive involving a child 16 years ago. He can’t live with children as a condition of his parole.

But authorities recently learned Lehmann and her minor children started living with Coyle in his home in Almond.
