DORSET — Martha Stewart, (yes, that Martha Stewart) has adopted two of the Friesian horses that were rescued from the troubled Friesians of Majesty horse farm in Townshend.

The famous lifestyle maven is a Friesian lover and already owns four of the rare pedigreed horses. Last week, Dorset Equine Rescue brought her two additional Friesian geldings to live in the lap of luxury at her farm in New Bedford, N.Y.

"Martha was very friendly and interested," said Jen Straub, the executive director of Dorset Equine Rescue, the non-profit animal organization that has taken in more than 70 horses from the embattled Townshend farm since 2023.
