REIDVILLE, S.C. (WBTV) - A major manufacturing company is investing $200 million in a new South Carolina factory that will create 275 new jobs, the governor announced Tuesday morning.

The company -- Woodward, Inc. -- is a global leader in energy control solutions. Its new factory in South Carolina will focus on producing servo-hydraulic actuation systems used in aircraft flight control, particularly those in Airbus A350s.

“When global companies like Woodward, Inc. decide to invest in our state, it further solidifies South Carolina’s impressive reputation in the manufacturing industry,” Gov. Henry McMaster said in a Sept. 16 .

The 300,000-square-foot facility will be built in the Smith Farm Industrial Park, which is off in Spartanburg County. It is expected to be operational by 2027.
