ST. LOUIS — St. Louis joins a growing list of cities President Donald Trump has his eyes on.
Trump said he wants to address crime in all major U.S. cities and calls it a "crackdown" on crime.
He said National Guard troops will be in Memphis as early as this week, Chicago is next and St. Louis won't be too far behind.
In a statement released last week by St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer, she said:
"I am not aware of any planning in this regard, either at the state or federal level, and have confirmed this in conversation with the Governor’s Office today. I am confident, given my constructive working relationship with the governor, that if there were any planning, we would be made aware in advance. My office and the Governor’s Office have been and continue to remain in contact on the issue".
