Enajee Moore
Enajee Moore, who killed a 68-year-old man in a car crash in northwest Detroit on April 11 while fleeing police, was sentenced Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court to 10 to 22 years in prison.
Detroit officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Moore near Puritan Avenue and Coyle Street after suspecting he had improper license plates, but he drove off at a high rate of speed, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said.
During the chase, Moore crashed into the driver's side of a car driven by Thurston Alexander, 68, who died after being ejected from his vehicle.
Moore was convicted of reckless driving causing death, fleeing a police officer (first degree), and involuntary manslaughter.
