A man beat his partner multiple times and left her bloodied and terrified outside her Cambridge home. Jayed Hussain, 31, had subjected the woman to months of attacks and assaults.

In the early hours of June 16, he attacked her again, as well as grabbing a TV and smashing it on the floor. Neighbours called police after hearing screaming and items being smashed and one found the victim with blood all over her face.

The victim, who is in her 20s, called police twice just before 2am and officers arrested Hussain. At Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday (September 10), Hussain, of no fixed abode, was jailed for two years and five months for assault, which he admitted.
