HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Two children have died following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in rural Adams County, the sheriff’s office said.
Around 4:45 p.m., the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a crash at an uncontrolled intersection of Saddlehorn Road and Riverview Avenue southeast of Hastings.
The sheriff’s office said an eastbound pickup driven by 33-year-old Blake Whitcomb, from Hastings, collided with a northbound farm silage truck driven by 66-year-old Dale Feik, from Harvard.
The sheriff’s office said two children, ages seven and 10, in the eastbound pickup died at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Mary Lanning Healthcare.
The Nebraska State Patrol is conducting an accident reconstruction.
