ANDY REID has broken his silence over the Kansas City Chiefs decision to wear T-shirts supporting Rashee Rice.
Rice is currently serving a six-game suspension for his involvement in a multi-car crash.
But Travis Kelce and Chiefs team-mate Tyquan Thornton sparked controversy with their decision to wear T-Shirts supporting the wide receiver ahead of their clash with the Philadelphia Eagles .
Kelce and Thornton were seen with tops which said: "Free 4".
This is the number that Rice wears for the NFL franchise.
The move drew criticism online given the gravity of the situation.
