Volunteers from a pig rescue have joined the search for two stray potbellied pigs seen wandering through neighborhoods and digging up gardens in Manheim and Manor townships, Lancaster County.

The pigs, which were likely pets, appear to have been dumped separately, according to Gina Mocci, a board member of Eastern Snouts Adoption and Rehoming , a nonprofit that rescues pigs throughout the East Coast.

One of the large pigs has been seen in and around the Bent Creek neighborhood in Manheim Township since June, according to Mocci. In August, a second big pig was reported near Conestoga Country Club in Manor Township. Both are male and lightly colored with dark spots.
