Pakistan have cancelled their press conference on the eve of their must-win game against UAE in the Asia Cup on Wednesday, as the fallout from the handshake controversy after their loss to India continues. Pakistan's training session, scheduled to take place following the press conference, will go ahead as planned.

While the PCB has not officially stated why the team is not doing their press conference, it is believed to be because of their continuing unhappiness with the ICC match referee Andy Pycroft , whom the PCB demanded be removed from the remainder of the Asia Cup . The PCB blamed Pycroft following the conclusion of Sunday's clash between India and Pakistan, during which the Indian players refused to shake hands with the Pakistanis at the toss and at the end of the game.
