A Gannon University employee has been fired and other employees are being disciplined for "deeply troubling" social media posts and other "inappropriate reactions" about the killing of Charlie Kirk . The conservative influencer was shot and killed during an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.

Gannon President Walter Iwanenko announced the disciplinary actions, including the "termination," on social media and in an email to the university community on Sept. 15.

"Gannon University unequivocally condemns any and all social media posts, comments or expressions that glorify, celebrate or endorse political violence in any form," Iwanenko said in his statement.
