THORNTON, Colo. (KKTV) - Nearly 22 years after a Colorado woman was stabbed to death and left in a ditch, police say they have captured her suspected killer.
In October 2003, the body of 29-year-old Rosa Arguello was found on the side of the road in northern Thornton. According to reports at the time, she had been stabbed more than a dozen times. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said Arguello was a member of the Hopi tribe.
Years went by and the case went cold. Then Tuesday, the Thornton Police Department announced they at last had a suspect in custody for her murder.
Robert McClain, 55, was arrested in Dubuque, Iowa, Monday morning and is being held there until he can extradited back to Colorado.
