The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to overcome losing a key defensive starter in their 20-19 win over the Houston Texans on Monday night. They'll now have to try to replicate the feat for the remainder of the season, as their fears about the severity of the injury have been confirmed.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kancey will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn pec.

Kancey suffered the injury when going against Houston offensive tackle Tytus Howard in the second quarter. The former first-round pick was attempting to rush Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.
