OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) - A woman is dead following a stabbing incident in Opelika Tuesday morning.

According to the Opelika Police Department, police responded to the 1000, block of Samford Court around 10:52 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Upon arrival, officials say police located a 34-year-old females suffering from a stab wound.

According to OPD, officers immediately rendered aid however, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s unclear at this time if a suspect has been arrested.
