Walsall Council has refused retrospective plans for a five-bedroom replacement dwelling in Paddock.

The property at 8 Brookhouse Road has been at the heart of a planning row since 2022 when the council approved the application.

The proposals went through with the condition that a 45-degree line of sight from neighbouring windows would be preserved.

However, the drawings submitted with the application were later found to be inaccurate.

During construction, neighbour Sarbjit Bilkhu said the views from his property were obstructed and the council apologised to him for what it described as an ‘oversight’.
