Derek Anderson's journey began as a standout high school All-Star in Kentucky. After starting his collegiate career at Ohio State, he transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he became a key member of a legendary 1996 squad. Under coach Rick Pitino, that powerhouse team, which featured nine future NBA players, went on to win the NCAA National Championship. Balancing elite athletics with rigorous academics, Anderson graduated in 1997 with a degree in pharmacy.
