Edinburgh Comic Con fans have been left gutted after one of the stars pulled out of the event with just weeks to go.

Jason Isaacs, known for his iconic role as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter, was set to make an appearance at this year's Comic Con but is now unable to attend due to a "change in his schedule".

Taking place on October 11 and 12 at the Royal Highland Centre, Comic Con Scotland is one of Europe's largest pop culture conventions, attracting tens of thousands of fans annually to the capital.

The White Lotus star was set to make an appearance and meet fans.

However in a statement online, Comic Con Scotland said: "Unfortunately due to a change in his schedule Jason Isaacs is no longer able to attend this event.
