Among the allegations levied at Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Wilson by the state’s Judicial Tenure Commission – alongside public drunkenness, sexual harassment and meddling in cases involving his family members – is the claim that he had business relationships with attorneys who appeared in front of him and didn’t disclose that fact.

It’s true that he had business relationships with his former law partners. For several years, he owned a car wash with Ivan Brown and was the landlord for Brown’s firm, to boot. He and Michael Dungan owned rental properties together.
