GOGEBIC COUNTY, MI – A 65-year-old woman died after she was found pinned between a fifth-wheel camper and a truck at an Upper Peninsula campground.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office responded to Moosehead Lake Campground in Marenisco Township at 3:26 p.m. on Monday after receiving a report of an unresponsive female.

Deputies arrived on scene and began CPR and other life-saving measures, but the woman from Roscommon was pronounced dead at the scene.

She has not been identified by name. The incident remains under investigation.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Forest Service, Marenisco Township Police, Fire and EMS, Lake Gogebic Fire and Beacon Ambulance.
