A free sports and activity fair for girls, and hosted by girls, is coming up in Maple Ridge this month.
The Karina LeBlanc Foundation has partnered with Girls Forward Foundation and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, to present Girls in Motion. Taking place at the Karina LeBlanc Synthetic Field in Maple Ridge on Saturday, Sept. 27, the event invites girls ages 8 to 13 to try new sports and activities, hear from inspiring role models, and find their way to play.
LeBlanc was a world class keeper for Team Canada who grew up in Maple Ridge. The is an Olympic medallist, five-time FIFA Women's World Cup participant, Member of the Order of Canada, and executive vice president at RAJ Sports. She will be one of the speakers, along with a lineup of other inspiring leaders.
