Satterley Property Group has taken aim at the current Shire of Mundaring president and former Save Perth Hills chair Paige McNeil, suggesting her presence on the council swayed its support against the contentious North Stoneville development.

Satterley’s legal counsel Paul McQueen gave his opening remarks on Tuesday day two of the high-stakes State Administrative Tribunal hearing as the developer attempts to overturn the WA Planning Commission’s rejection of the contentious project’s structure plan.

McQueen claimed North Stoneville had more scrutiny and resources thrown at it than any other project in the state, and its rejection was influenced by politics rather than planning.
