Lakewood Ranch wins Crutchfield-Hawkins Invitational: The Lakewood Ranch boys golf team won its third straight tournament on Monday at the Crutchfield-Hawkins Invitational hosted by Sebring High School.

The Mustangs took first place in the 20-team field with a nine-stroke margin of victory. Donny Plakyda (71) led the Mustangs. He was followed by Owen Gellatly (73), Brock Blackwell and Jack Wessinger (75).

Lakewood Ranch’s win on Monday comes after the team won the George Jenkins High Invitational on Sept. 8 and the Founders Cup Match Play event on Sept. 13.
