JOHNSTOWN, Wis. (WKOW) — Officials have released the name of a 44-year-old man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in the Town of Johnstown.

The Rock County Medical Examiner's Office said Nathaniel D. Sharpe, of Delavan, died in the crash.

It happened at about 6:31 a.m. on E CTH A east of N CTH M. The Rock County Sheriff's Office and the Walworth County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.

Sharpe was driving a Honda motorcycle eastbound on E CTH A.

"The motorcycle failed to negotiate the sweeping left curve and struck a mailbox then power pole, and the operator was ejected," a press release stated.

Sharpe was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.
