An inmate threatened to shoot a prison officer because he was unhappy he had been served a jacket potato for lunch.

Nicholas Brock was behind bars for a terror-related offence when he threatened to shoot the guard in the back of the head.

The 57-year-old was unhappy because the spud did not meet his dietary requirements.

In a separate incident, Brock hurled abuse at his probation officer and told another "I’ll just shoot her myself".

The defendant was convicted of making threats to kill prison staff at HMP Bullingdon, Bicester, Oxfordshire, on May 20 and October 9, 2024, at Oxford Crown Court.
