It is primary election day in Annapolis and two Democrats are vying for their party’s nomination in the race for mayor.
Either Rhonda Pindell Charles or Jared Littman will face Republican Bob O’Shea in the mayoral race in the November election. Current Mayor Gavin Buckley will leave office after being term limited
Voters will also choose new alderpersons. Ward 1, which represents downtown Annapolis, is seeing the most competition with five Democrats in the running.
Polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
