This year marked the 50th Toronto International Film Festival—a half-century of TIFF!—and King Street was packed with A-listers celebrating the occasion with the world premieres of features including Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery , The Lost Bus , Christy , and more. And as the fall festival season blooms, a slew of buzzy TIFF films are already heating up the Oscars race: Keep an eye on Hamnet , Frankenstein , The Smashing Machine , Train Dreams , and Sentimental Value , in particular, as the awards chatter grows.
