Houston man accused of following man from bank, stealing $10K out of his vehicle in Moss Bluff

MOSS BLUFF, La. (KPLC) - A Houston man is facing charges after deputies say he stole $10,000 out of a vehicle in Moss Bluff.

Richard D. Gray, 38, faces charges of simple burglary and theft from $5,000 to $25,000.

On Sept. 12, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office learned of a vehicle burglary at a business on Sam Houston Jones Parkway, CPSO spokesperson Kayla Vincent said.

According to Vincent, a man told deputies he had just left a bank after withdrawing $10,000, stopped at a gas station and another business, and noticed the envelope containing the money was missing from his vehicle.

Vincent said CPSO reviewed video surveillance, which showed a maroon pickup truck following the victim out of the bank parking lot and pulling up next to the victim’s vehicle in the gas station parking lo
