RICHLAND PARISH, La. (KNOE) - The Louisiana State Police is investigating a wreck that killed Samantha Gaydon, 59, of Rayville.

LSP said a two-vehicle wreck happened on U.S. Hwy. 425 in Richland Parish around 7 a.m. on Sept. 16.

According to LSP, Gaydon was driving east on Hwy. 135 when another vehicle was going south on Hwy. 425.

LSP said Gaydon ran a stop sign at the intersection of Hwy. 135 and Hwy. 425, causing Gaydon’s vehicle to hit the other.

LSP said Gaydon, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. The other driver, who was also wearing a seatbelt, received minor injuries.

Routine toxicology samples will be taken and submitted for analysis.

The investigation is ongoing.
