The 40-year-old New Jersey man who died last week in a helicopter crash in Pennsylvania was a “teddy bear dad” to his three children and a devoted journeyman lineman, his obituary says.
Michael Higgins, of Haddon Township, was working as a lineman on the flight when he and the pilot, Jeffrey Patmore, of Terrace, British Columbia, were killed on Thursday. The helicopter, owned by power-line services company Winco Inc., crashed under unknown circumstances in a wooded area of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
“He was a force and is already so missed,” a GoFundMe page created by Higgins’ family says. “He leaves behind his three resilient children, and a family and friends who loved him so much.”
