A group of builders rolled up their sleeves and put on their pink hard hats for the Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta chapter’s signature Women Build fundraising event on Tuesday.

For the next three days, women from various walks of life will work with tradespeople and volunteers to help construct affordable housing — 11 townhomes in Airdrie’s Bayview community — that will be matched with families in Calgary.
