DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) - Organizers of Northwest Wisconsin's largest Pride festival have postponed their September event in De Pere, citing safety concerns in the current political climate.
According to a press release, NEW Pride Fest, which typically draws thousands to celebrate LGBTQIA+ pride and community, said the decision was not made lightly.
Pride is more than a celebration; it is a movement rooted in the fight for equality and safety.
