Most Vermont households currently receiving federal food assistance won’t see any changes to their benefits, according to the Department for Children and Families.

The department announced Friday that the federally mandated changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) taking place will occur Oct. 1 with notice going out to households in September.
