Robert Redford’s grandchildren took to social media to share sweet tributes to their grandpa following his death.

Shortly after his death on Tuesday, September 16, at the age of 89, Redford’s grandson, Conor Schlosser, the son of Redford’s daughter Shauna Redford, wrote an emotional Instagram post in honor of his famous grandfather.

“He was larger than life to the world, but to his family, he was simply that…family,” Conor, 33, said. “Rest in peace, Grandpa. If anyone has a favorite story of him you’d like to share, please send it to me in a private massage—I’d love to collect them.”
