Seven people are facing federal charges in a Boston-area kidnapping in which a person was beaten and burned before ransom was paid this February, prosecutors said Tuesday.

The kidnappers showed how the victim was being tortured during video calls in which they demanded the ransom, according to the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts, announcing charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and obstruction of justice against men from Boston, Revere and Quincy.

Two of the seven people indicted by a grand jury in the Feb. 27 kidnapping from Quincy were still at large as of the announcement.
