PEORIA, Ill. – A woman accused of hitting her boyfriend with a vehicle has been indicted by a Peoria County grand jury.

21-year-old Kayana Polk was indicted on Tuesday of Aggravated Domestic Battery.

She is due back in court Thursday for arraignment.

On August 26th in Peoria’s East Bluff , Polk and her boyfriend reportedly were arguing when the boyfriend started walking away.

Polk allegedly then hit him, then got out of the vehicle and yelled at him before driving off. She reportedly later confessed to police during an interview.

The boyfriend reportedly suffered a broken pelvis and required surgery.
