BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — District Attorney Scott Perrilloux announced Tuesday he won't be seeking reelection in 2026.
Perrilloux, who is currently serving his fifth term, serves Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes in the 21st Judicial District. He was first elected in 1996. He said his current term is slated to end on the second Sunday of 2027.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve those who live in the district and others who have needed the services of the District Attorney’s office," Perrilloux said.
Voters will choose a new district attorney in the fall election of 2026.
