Tigers expected to let go of All-Star, World Series champion over offseason
Outside of ace Tarik Skubal, the Detroit Tigers starting pitching rotation has been in shambles throughout the 2025 season, and the team set a goal during the trade deadline to attempt to alleviate the pain from the problem.
During said attempt, the Tigers made a deal with the Baltimore Orioles to acquire starting pitcher Charlie Morton, a two-time All-Star in 2018 and 2019, and a two-time World Series champion in 2017 and 2021 with the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves , respectively.
However, it seems to have done the team more harm than good, and the 41-year-old may be looking for a new home again soon.
