DETROIT -- The scariest moment of the Detroit Tigers’ 2025 season may end up being much ado about nothing.

Tigers’ fans held their breath when Skubal walked off the mound in the fourth inning on Friday in Miami after experiencing discomfort on his left side.

But tests revealed no damage, and Skubal said he’ll be at full strength for his scheduled start Thursday afternoon against the Cleveland Guardians.

“It’s one of those weird things,” Skubal said, referring to the discomfort he felt on Friday. “I don’t really know how to explain it. But (yesterday’s) bullpen went well, the scans came back good. So it’s on to the next one.”

Skubal said he was under no restrictions in Monday’s bullpen.
