EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A 22-year-old man who is accused of kidnapping a teenage girl in Texas and then leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase is being held without bond until trial, the Sixth Judicial District Attorney's Office in Deming said.

Kyle Eckmann, 22, is facing charges of kidnapping, abuse of child, bribery of a witness, aggravated assault upon a peace officer and aggravated fleeing from a law-enforcement officer, the DA's Office said.

Back in August, Eckmann convinced a 15-year-old girl to meet him. Eckman then took her for three days through Texas and into New Mexico, the DA's Office said.

The vehicle ended up in a high-speed chase with New Mexico State Police near Deming after the suspect's license plate was identified through card reader technology.
