It didn’t take long for Seattle Mariners top prospect Colt Emerson to go yard at Triple-A Tacoma.

In just the third at-bat of his Triple-A debut on Tuesday afternoon, Emerson pulled a 1-2 slider over the right-center-field fence at Tacoma’s Cheney Stadium for a three-run homer against Oklahoma City.

Emerson, a 20-year-old infielder, was promoted from Double-A Arkansas earlier in the day. Arkansas’ season ended on Sunday.

Emerson, a 2023 first-round draft pick out of high school, is one of baseball’s top prospects. He’s ranked as MLB Pipeline’s No. 11 overall prospect and Baseball America’s No. 12 prospect , due in large part to his polished left-handed swing and advanced plate discipline.
