A corrections officer who reported for work at Marion County's Adult Detention Center on the morning of Sept. 16 is now behind bars after investigators say he trafficked drugs into the facility.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office learned that the employee might be involved in narcotics smuggling after intercepting jail communications, according to a press release.
