area butchers are sharpening their knives and slicing, dicing and mincing their way through thousands and thousands of pounds of meat to gear up for Rosh Hashanah and the start of the High Holy Days.

Whether it’s beef, brisket or chicken, local stores are doing their best to ensure that the shelves are fully stocked and their coolers are filled with meat ready for the influx of purchases that come with the holidays.

Rabbi Moshe Freedman, assistant manager of Boris Kosher Meats in University Heights, Dovid Schwartz, meat manager at The Grove Kosher Market in South Euclid, and Adam Levine, manager at Tibor’s Kosher Meats in University Heights talked with the Cleveland Jewish News about how they are preparing for the season and discussed what a few of their most popular items are.
