Three Alberta cabinet members have packed their bags for international business trips this month.
Searle Turton, minister of children and family services has flown to Sydney, Australia to take in the 5th World Conference of Women’s Shelters, Sept. 12-19.
“Alberta is committed to ensuring families experiencing violence have access to safe and responsive supports when and where they need it,” says Turton. “Participating in this global conference allows us to learn from international leaders and ensure that we continue to lead in our renewed women’s shelter approach.”
Meantime, Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo MLA Tany Yao, also parliamentary secretary for small business and northern development, is headed to Jackson, Wyoming.
That trip runs Sept. 15-20 and is for the purposes of promoting Albe
