Christian Gonzalez has seen first-hand the jump Drake Maye has made when it comes to his leadership.

“I feel like he’s really made that leadership change,” the Patriots cornerback said on “Good Morning Football” on Tuesday . “He’s speaking a lot more, using his voice more and we really appreciate it. It was fun to watch him in camp and see what he’s done so far. The best thing for him is he always wants to get better. He’s never satisfied. I think that’s gonna take him a long way.”

Maye was named one of the captains of the Patriots this season. It’s the first time the second-year quarterback earned the honor and knows it comes with added responsibility .
