EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly placing running back Aaron Jones Sr. on injured reserve and adding a third quarterback to the roster before Sunday's game against Cincinnati.

Jones injured his hamstring in Sunday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons and will now miss at least four weeks while he's on the IR, which was first reported by NFL Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero . Rapoport and Pelissero also reported that the Vikings had signed quarterback Desmond Ridder to their 53-man roster, meaning he will be an option as a potential backup to Carson Wentz, who is expected to play in place of injured J.J. McCarthy .
